awesome.
Something almost surreal about a lone piper standing in front a machine of destruction like that,
Pity the turret has the cap on.
I don't suppose I could get a larger version of this shot, I would love to have it as a desktop wallpaper.
Cheers
Addy (djanabel)

F'ing HOOAH! Please post a large version of this!

Djanabel, the Dragoons still enter battle with pipes and drums blaring... except these days it's a recording blasting over a tank mounted loudspeaker.
do you ever wonder why pipes instill a sense of reverence and courage in some and irritate or strike fear into others? I wonder if there is some genetic connection to the sound that transcends logical explanation. My great grandfather was Scotland born, and though I have never set foot on the country, hearing pipes has always bolstered my courage from a very young age, while anyone else around me reaches for the asprin whenever I turn up the volume. I always enjoy pulling up to a traffic light next to a car that is shaking loudly from excessive bass and popping in pipe recordings and jamming the volume as high as it goes. Its amazing how many more decibels you can get out of a piercing pipe than a rap bass rythm....... makes me all warm and fuzzy on the inside!
Eheh, great shot, I love this composition with the tank ^^
It's scotish pride! XD

Hey!!!! This turned out to look great! An "Irish man" standing in front of this tank and playing an instrument, this looks like a good contrast to me,I tell you.

Scotsman - he'd be most upset to hear you call him Irish - the clue is in the Regiment's name - Royal SCOTS Dragoon Guards...lol
Glad you like it tho...

I do the same thing! I work construction, and I always have the biggest radio and play Bagpipe music.
